This review is for Durham Tree Service, and why I believe they should be your first call when you need tree work done. Now, to make this claim, I need to give you a little back-story so you can fully understand my recommendation. In the early 1950’s, when my parents had their first home built, my grandfather planted a rare tree in the front yard, commonly called a false monkey-puzzle tree. Sixty years later, this once beautiful tree had grown to a monstrous height of 80 feet. Its size was not the only monstrous thing about it. Aside from the fact that its ‘leaves’ were like spikes that would pierce your flesh without protective wear, every few years it produced cones weighing approximately 15 pounds each. Falling from a height of 80 ft., these seemed more like lethal weapons than part of a tree’s reproductive system. It was time for the monster to go before it managed to do some real life-changing damage. Because this tree was so rare, so large, so unpleasant, I feared I wouldn’t be able to find anyone willing to undertake the project. But I needed to try, and fortunately for me, my first call was to Durham’s Tree Service. To my surprise, the Durham’s had first-hand experience with this kind of tree, having had such a monster growing on their own property at one time. I was both delighted and relieved to have found someone who knew firsthand what removing a tree like this would entail and did not seem daunted by the task in the least. From the moment they arrived on the scene, I knew I had made a wise choice in hiring them. Our quiet street was lined with all the necessary equipment to tackle our front yard colossus to the ground. I personally didn’t get to witness the takedown, as I needed to care for my mom that day, but my husband took pictures and called me with regular updates (you can’t begin to imagine his joy in getting rid of this giant nuisance that made yard work a beast in itself. A mere three hours later, the job was almost finished, and by the time I returned at 2:00, there was nothing left of the giant except the huge scar in the ground from where they expertly felled it without damaging a single power line, piece of property, nothing…quite a feat in a populated residential area. So, while I know this review is a bit lengthy, I felt that it was warranted . . . that Durham’s deserve a ‘kudos’, and ‘bravo’, and ‘three-cheers’ for a job well done. If you are looking for an experienced, well-equipped, efficient tree service manned by humorous, personable, well-qualified people, then Durham’s is the place to go. These guys are very good tree removal specialists. Not only do they know what they are doing, but they go above and beyond expectations. They took down a 60 year old false monkey puzzle tree that was 80 feet tall for us in record time. They hauled it all off and ground the stump. They are very good at what they do and I highly recommend them.

I had the need for tree service recently. I evaluated several companies and chose Durham's Tree Service and am so glad I did. They came in, with the proper equipment and personnel and got the job done in a very reasonable time and at a very competitive price. The clean up was so good, you couldn't even tell they had been in my yard. I will most definitely use them again and have told all my friends about what an excellent job they did. VERY PLEASED!!!!!!

I was nervous with trees so close to the house, BUT they were extremely impressive and good at what they do! Dropped all 11 trees without harming house. Did make a mark in my driveway, but immediately: admitted it AND came back the very next day to fix it! I have had other services make a mistake and just hide it instead of owning it and fixing it and then there are problems down the road and you have no recourse. Impressive as they laid a tree log on driveway and fell two trees side by side right on top of that log. Who would expect such precision out of cutting down very large pine trees. Quoted price was market, I had another tree service quote and these guys were slightly cheaper. But even if slightly more expensive, I would hire them again! AND we weren't going to grind the stumps, but his new stump grinding toy was fast and made it a reasonable price to go ahead and do it. They cleared away all debris away and cleaned up afterwards.

Before finding DURHAM'S TREE SERVICE, I recently had hired a different handy man tree person to take down one tree. He was almost finished but left 4 big wedges of the center of the tree and left and never returned. In hopes of getting someone ELSE to take away the tree wedges I THEN called DURHAM'S TREE SERVICE and they were really GREAT! They were KIND and EFFICIENT and REASONABLE to my pocketbook. Very professional and phenomenal job. They showed up and took down 2 large oak trees for us in just one day! Their crew took all debris away and left our yard looking better than when they showed up!! Highly recommend them!!

I hired Durham's Tree Service to trim my oak tree. They did a nice job and clean up the yard after completing like they were never there.. would recommend them and use them again.

I hired them to remove the large shrubbery around the front of my house. They spent most of the day doing the job and did so professionally. I was very satisfied. What really impressed me was the care they took in cleaning up. It was exceptional. Finally, because they found an easier way to do the job, they reduced the price from the estimate significantly. Absolutely worth every penny! Amazing in every aspect. We have nearly a three story Oak in our backyard, in stead of removing the Owner came to our house multiple times for a good solution. We are the corner house to the entrance of a subdivision. Our backyard backs up to the entrance retaining wall and the tree was very close to the power lines as well. They trimmed and thinned out our tree and created a beautiful canopy way up in the sky, every cut was clean and looked beautiful. The thinning looked like it was shaped by a master stylist. They had a great crew that was so friendly and Meticulously cleaned up. They raked and swept and used professional equipment! Our yard looked better after they left they did before they got there I would absolutely recommend to everyone

Durham’s tree service just expertly trimmed 3 of my palm trees and a magnolia tree. They were all large tall trees and Durham has the skill, expertise, and equipment to handle the job. They cleaned up and chipped all branches and hauled them off. They even raked and hand picked up any debris. My trees have never looked so good! Don’t try anyone else. Excellent professional outcome. We hired Durham's Tree Service to take down two massive oak trees around our home. They carefully cut and lower limbs with precision and cleaned up the entire area as they worked the yard. The trees had a stump diameter of over 4 ft. They ground the stumps well below the surface and left us with a level yard with no evidence of trees. They stayed with the work until the final task was completed. They did even more than they contracted with me and left us as very satisfied customers. We have already booked them to trim up some trees at our other Winter Haven rental properties. 2 days after Hurricane Milton, I called Durham Tree, left a message which was answered in a short time. The owner came over that day, gave me a competitive bid, and began working the same day. There were 6 LARGE trees to cut, huge root balls to remove, and stumps to grind. This was all done responsibly, professionally, and safely with the proper equipment. Every person associated with Durham who worked here was interested in what I wanted to achieve and bent over backward to reach that goal. I can wholeheartedly recommend DURHAM TREE SERVICES.

Bob and crew are a family run business. They're fair, professional, and do a terrific job.! We had them remove 6 palm trees and then grind the stumps. The bushes around the trees were not even touched. All debris was cleaned up and removed as well. Can't speak highly enough about them!

Price was very reasonable. Workers were extremely courteous and here when promised. Took down 6 trees, topped 2 trees, and cleaned up in under an hour. I will use anytime we need tree work.

I couldn't have hired a better company. Very professional, quick, courteous and priced better than any other company I called, by a LOT!!! Durham's did a fabulous job back in 2018 when we first moved down to Florida, not long after Hurricane Irma lifted our 75 ton oak tree 2 feet out of the ground. We were given crazy high estimates from about 4 other companies. Durham's beat out their estimates by half!! Cody and his brother and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job and so fast too. Whenever anyone asks me to recommend someone to help with trees I tell them to call Cody for the best deal.
